Post Season

As our season has come to an end, I'd like to reflect on the great things we've experienced this past year. The 2013 Plattsburgh softball team had many new faces at the beginning with a freshman class of 7. After the fall semester these freshman had adapted well to their new environment. Watching the team grow from the first practice of the fall season to the last game this past weekend has been a great honor. This team is filled with young women who truly love this sport and this team. Unfortunately every season has to come to an end at some point. This group has shown a lot of hard work and determination to get as far as they did. The best softball they have played all year was shown this past weekend in our conference tournament. The team went out giving all they had leaving nothing to be regretted. Our coaching staff is very proud of these young women and are looking forward to starting back up in the fall of 2013. Thank you for following our team and giving us your support! Go Cards!!!!

Season Opener

After a long weekend in Geneseo, Plattsburgh softball finished 2-2. Starting off strong on Friday with 2 wins against Geneseo, then losing 2 on Saturday to Brockport. Both days of games were played in Geneseo due to field conditions at Brockport. Throughout the weekend there were multiple games where Plattsburgh had to come back from being down several runs to win or tie the game. The team showed tremendous fight in every game until the end. Our coaching staff is very proud of the strength the team showed over the weekend and look forward to seeing more through the rest of the season. Tomorrow (4/2/13), Plattsburgh will be playing a double header away against RPI. Game time is set to start at 3:30pm. This game will be followed by 2 double headers away this weekend in Oneonta and New Paltz on Friday and Saturday (4/5/13 & 4/6/13).
